Scope and Different User Types
Terms like "intermediate" and "advanced" mean different things to different people. We will cast a wide net, but won't swerve away from high end techniques. We won't leave out absolute beginners either. If you do wish to post a question or link or insight that is for beginners please label it at the top of your post: "For beginners."
I encourage you to define and record what it means for you to reach the summit. Maybe you wish to refine and polish your workflow; perhaps create 7 models in 21 days; construct your dream masterpiece....or just to build your first "Sub-D" model.
Expedition Schedule:
Jan 11-17: Holger Biebrach will debut a training video that is PACKED with premium experience, insightful tips and will walk you through a power project. He will be available for some questions. Other learning resources and tools will be discussed.
Jan 18-22: Intermediate to Advanced spline modeling (it's easier; we catch our breath)
Jan 23-26: Wield the the PolyPen tool like a ninja yielding a sword!
Jan 27-31: Speed modeling tips and challenges. The timer is winding down. How fast can you build your model?
Possible modeling topics we will forego because they may merit their own learning expedition: Sculpting, 3D Scanning, Retopology. Please hold off discussing these.
